Bicycle mechanic/technicianExperienced mechanic required to service and repair customer bicycles, install accessories, assemble new bicycles, and consult with sales staff and customers when requested. Works with other bike mechanics, staff and managers, and occasionally customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Service and tune customer bicycles
- Install accessories
- Repair or replace parts
- Assemble and tune new bicycles
- Build wheel sets, clean drivetrains, etc.
- Consult with sales staff and customers when requested
- Track tasks done and hours worked
- Keep work area tidy and organized
- Help with receiving orders when necessary
- Other related tasks as required
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have: - 5+ years experience as a bicycle mechanic, or equivalent
- Attention to detail and ability to quickly problem-solve
- Good work habits, punctuality, and communication
- Experience as a cyclist and/or with the cycling community
- References from previous employers
Good to have: - Pleasant and cheerful attitude
- Computer and point-of-sale experience
- Reliable transportation
TERM: Part-time/full-time
WORK SCHEDULE: Days, up to 40 hours/week, flex-schedule
