The Bike Doctor always tries to be careful, complete and smart about your bike repairs. Often people come in with their bikes asking for a tune up, and all they need are a brake or gear adjustment or a flat tire repaired. For example, a bicycle owner told us her brakes barely functioned. Within 30 minutes we adjusted the cables and pads and the brakes were awesome. All for about $10! Our most satisfying repair jobs are the simple, fast ones which don't cost much but result in a huge improvement in usefulness. Estimates are always free and they help us locate the problem and prescribe the repair and parts. You decide to get your bike fixed or not. We know that careful diagnosis helps us complete needed repairs effectively and on budget. Get a Complete Tune Up A Complete Tune Up is only $50 and includes adjusting both hubs; headset and bottom bracket; minor truing of front and rear wheels; adjusting front and rear derailleurs; and adjusting front and rear brakes. We also do a safety inspection while wiping down your bike and filling the tires. All this can usually be done by the next day. Bicycle repair and service rates We've provided a comprehensive list of Repair and Service Rates (below) as a guide. Please understand that sometimes the repair can take longer due to rust or related problems, so extra labour is charged accordingly. If you're not sure, bring your bike to our Vancouver or Burnaby location for a free estimate and safety check. Rates effective as of April 2010 and may change. All prices $CAD. Rates don't include cost of parts or accessories.
